A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, most especially to his fishermen buddies, Adam Love, Sr., 69, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He fought a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in the Philippines and is survived by his beautiful wife of 51 years, Cora Nazareta Love; his devoted children, Adam Jr. (Monika), Edie (Tom) and Yvette; grandchildren, Dominique, Darryl, Alexa, Tyler, Alexander, Dylan, Adam, Presley, Genevieve, Andrea, Ruben, and Geno; great-grandchild, Zoë; brother Sal and sisters Josephine Cruz, Mary Unpingco, Fe Love, Ruby Love, Eva Schiltz, and Rose Legler; and preceded in death by parents, John and Cleta Love, and sister, Sally Castillo.
His passion for the outdoors and fishing, crossword puzzles, and his family lasted his entire lifetime. He was an inspiration to his children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren, who will carry his memory through the wisdom and life lessons he instilled.
As Papa begins his journey home in heaven, he will be remembered but never forgotten. The world will never be the same without Papa, but will remain a better one for the values he has taught his family. May his memory be eternal.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Queen of All Saints 2390 Grant St, Concord, CA 94520.
