Albert Teixeira, Sr. passed away at peacefully in his home in Pittsburg, California on December 8, 2015 at the age of 95. Albert was born in in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on September 17, 1920. He served 20 years in the Air Force was stationed in Camp Stoneman, Pittsburg, where he met his wife, Rosie, in 1952. Albert worked for the US Postal Service in Pittsburg for 20 years. He was known as the friendly mailman and had fond memories of the many families he knew along his routes.
Al is lovingly remembered by his children: Vickie Behrens and her husband David, Frank Teixeira and his wife Violeta , Albert Teixeira Jr., as well his 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, four siblings and many nieces, and nephews. Albert is preceded in death by his wife, Rose, whom he missed dearly.

Chapel blessing December 16, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. www.woundedwarriorproject.org
