Alfonso ("Al") Camacho passed away on May 26. He was 81 years old. Along with his family, Al came to the United States from Mexico when he was a young boy. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1960. He worked in the retail clothing industry his entire career, starting at Sol's clothing store in downtown Pittsburg as a teenager. He also worked at Howard's in San Francisco, and then in the mid 1970's, opened his own clothing store, Lance's Mens' Fashions, in Walnut Creek. Years later, he worked for, and eventually retired from, Rochester Big & Tall Clothing in Concord.

Al enjoyed spending time with his family, at gatherings in the home, as well as family vacations to Lake Tahoe, Hawaii and Mexico. He also loved spending time with his many friends, and was a member of the Pittsburg Elks Lodge, as well as the Pittsburg Yacht Club.  Al will forever be remembered as being the "best dressed man in the room", with his starched button-down shirts being his standard.

Al is survived by his loving wife, Patricia ("Patty"); devoted sons, Lanz & Carlo; Mother, Victoria Muela; Brother, Ralph Camacho (Susan); Sister, Alice Cordy; grandchildren, Sebastian, Sierra and Giovanni; and many nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his father, Rafael; stepfather, Alfredo; and brothers Robert and George. His warm, outgoing personality and smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm, and a funeral service on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 10:00am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
