Alfredo Pintes, a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, passed away with his family beside him from a sudden GI complication. He was 76 years old. Alfredo grew up in a small town called La Paz, which is located in the Pangasinan province of the Philippines. In his teens, he moved to Manila to study at the University of the Philippines Diliman for high school. He then completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Santo Tomas. While attending high school and college, Alfredo worked as a restaurant server. Alfredo was an Electrical Engineer, and notably worked with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, also known as PLDT. He continued working abroad with several companies in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

In the mid 90s, Alfredo moved to the United States with his wife Leonida and their two children, Harold and Josephine. When he arrived to California, he first worked at Hilton Hotel in Concord as a banquet server. He soon acquired a position with Pacific Bell corporate in San Ramon, which later became SBC and then AT&T. His expertise was in designing telecommunications and bringing internet services to companies and residential homes. He retired from AT&T in 2010.

In Alfredo's free time, he enjoyed playing chess, playing and watching basketball and tennis, and reading the newspaper and the Bible. In his younger days, he boxed for fun in La Paz, and loved watching boxing!

He is survived by his wife Leonida, son Harold, son-in-law James, daughter Josephine, son-in-law Chris and grandson Jordan. Harold is a head department electrical engineer and Josephine is a registered dietitian specializing in renal nutrition. Alfredo had a fulfilling life and was wholeheartedly dedicated to his family and was proud to have accomplished his life missions. He was a man of great faith and active in his church as an evangelist, where he used to be the president, or "Pangulo" of Centro Ti Ayat a Pudno.
