Alice F. Delgado was called home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2013 at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born in Los Angeles, California. Growing up, she then relocated to Merced, California where she would meet her future husband, Ben Delgado. After marrying in Merced, they then relocated to Pittsburg, California. Alice was a foster mom and home maker.
Alice enjoyed dancing, playing cards, traveling with family, RVing with friends, volunteering at the Senior Center, and cooking. Most of all, Alice cherished spending time with her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her children, son Daniel Delgado and wife Delores of Wilmington, California; daughter Gloria Fajardo and husband Magdaleno of Oakley, California; and daughter Esther Perez and husband Chito of Oakley, California. Alice has 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Benjamin Delgado and son Benjamin Delgado Jr. and his wife Lupe and grandson Jess Perez.
Visitation will be held Thursday May 30, 2013 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, May 31, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Church of Good Shepherd. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
