Andrew Martin Alatorre passed away on November 16, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer. He touched many lives with his gentle spirit and positive outlook on life.
Andrew was born on December 21, 1968 in Pittsburg, California. Andrew was the first child of Arthur and Carolyn Alatorre. Andrew graduated Pittsburg High School in 1987 and earned a degree in Accounting at St. Mary's College in 1991 that led to his life's work in tax preparation and owning his own successful business. In 2001, Andrew met and married Anika Penn and they made their home in Martinez, California. In 2008, their son Axel Alatorre was born.
Andrew was dedicated to his family. He enjoyed sports and he especially loved coaching his son's soccer and baseball teams. Andrew was known for his integrity, his quiet confidence, his thoughtfulness, and his great sense of style. He enjoyed traveling with his family, he loved to have good times, and he never shied away from a party. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents Alphonse and Genevieve Cappucini and Arthur and Dolores Alatorre.
To cherish his memory, Andrew leaves behind his wife Anika Alatorre and son Axel Alatorre, his mother and father Carolyn and Arthur Alatorre, his brother Aaron Alatorre (Lisy), his sister-in-law Tamerin Busia Metoyer Mullon(Justin), and a host of relatives, including a niece, cousins and friends.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 5:00pm with Rosary to follow at 6:30pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral Liturgy on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:30am at Christ The King Catholic Church, 195 Brandon Road, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Committal services following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, CA 94549.Contributions can be made in memory of Andrew to Christ The King Catholic School.
