Ann passed away peacefully during her sleep on September 6, 2017, at the age of 96. Born November 6, 1920 in Pittsburg to parents Gaetano and Helen (Aiello) DiMercurio. Ann married Steve Beratta and together they owned and operated Beratta's Dry Cleaner's. She also made time to volunteer in community services as a member of the Catholic Daughter's of America and in support of St. Peter Martyr School. She enjoyed her close knit group of friends that met for decades. Ann loved to cook Italian dishes, loved family events and was always available to help a friend or family member.
Ann is survived by her two sons: Steve Jr., and Mark (Kathy) Beratta, five grandchildren: Kristin, Daniel, Keith, Zachary and Amanda. Six great grandchildren, two brothers, a sister and many extended family members. She  was preceded in death by her loving husband Steve. Her life was filled with her love and devotion to her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 10:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Peter Martyr School or favorite charity in remembrance of Ann.
