Anthony (Tony) Manuel Martinez, a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away July 5, 2023. Tony was born November 1, 1962 and raised in San Francisco, California. He met his wife Ann in their middle school band class at Luther Burbank, and together graduated from Balboa High School, class of 1980.

Tony moved his family to Pittsburg in 1989 where he was a business owner for 26 years, parishioner of Church of the Good Shepherd, a proud PHS Band Booster since 1996, and served as Band Booster President for a total of 17 years. He treasured every moment supporting the PHS Band Program.

Tony is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ann Martinez; his daughters, Jennifer Martinez, Pittsburg, CA; Jacqueline (Martinez) Sanchez (Brandon), Pittsburg, CA; Juliana Martinez, Pittsburg, CA and two grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by mother, Reiko (Akiyoshi) Martinez (Victor); sisters, Elizabeth Martinez; Michelle Martinez-Randall (William), Victoria Martinez Eison (Kevin), a host of nieces, nephews, faithful church members, band parents and loving community friends.

Family and friends are welcome to join Tony's celebration of life Friday, July 28, 2023, from 12pm to 4pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel, 2295 Railroad Avenue, Pittsburg, Ca 94565. Viewing begins at 12pm, Mass at 1pm followed by additional services and sharing of memories. In celebration of Mr. Band Booster, dress accordingly to create a sea of PHS Band, Orange and Black.
