ANTOINETTE MARIE SIRAGUSA was born in Detroit, Michigan to Vito and Josephine Marinello on January 24, 1930. She had many brothers and sisters and two brothers died in the Korean war. Antoinette lived with her family in Dearborn Michigan until she married Carmello Siragusa and moved to Pittsburg, California.
The Siragusa family was encouraged to move to California by a family member when husband Carmello (Tony) Siragusa was 9-years-old. After high school Tony Siragusa went to work as a civilian at Mare Island until the war broke out in 1941, he then joined the Navy for four years and was discharged in West Virginia.  From there he went back to Detroit to see his older siblings. That is when he met a young girl named Antoinette Marinello. He eventually had to go back home to California. Still smitten with the girl he left behind, Tony Siragusa went back to court his future wife. They were married on FEB 5, 1949 at "Our Lady of Sorrows Church" in Detroit, that union lasted 55 years until he passed on NOV 02, 2004.
Antoinette and Tony had two children, daughter Donna was born in 1952 and son Frank was born in 1957. Tony Siragusa worked at a Paper Mill in Antioch and Antionette worked as a waitress and as a salesperson in Fabric shops to make ends meet while raising two children.
Antoinette dropped out of school early in life, but she got her HIGH SCHOOL GED later in life. Antoinette was raised Catholic Christian faith. Antoinette had a wonderful opera voice. She owned a Piano Organ that she taught herself to play.
Antoinette had many talents, she sewed her own clothes as well as sewed for others, she knitted and crocheted and she made quilts and baby blankets for many people. Antoinette also sewed Men's Suites and made many Barbie dolls clothes for her daughter Donna's Barbies. She made crocheted slippers to keep your feet warm and scarves to keep your neck warm and gave many away to family and friends. Antoinette also worked with ceramics and painted them in the classes she took at the senior center where she played bingo.
Antoinette was well-known for her delicious homemade Sicilian food which included, Pasta con le Sardi, Raviolis, Cannoli with her special pastry cream filling, Braciole for her pasta sauce, Beef Spiedini, Biscotti Anise cookies and so much more.
Antoinette traveled to Oahu Hawaii with her daughter Donna who worked for United Airlines. She was able to see Pearl Harbor WW II Memorial and other places in Oahu while there.
Antionette is survived by her Daughter Donna Molinari, her husband Elio Molinari, her Son Frank Siragusa and his wife Lori Siragusa, one grandchild (Frank Jr Siragusa) and one great-grandchild Nick Siragusa and Antoinette's Brother Vito Marinello in Michigan.
