Obituary

Born in California, lived in Pittsburg, Antioch, Maryland, Virginia, Michigan, Florida, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Worked in clothing stores, bakery, U.S.Army two years (Artillery NCO), paper mill worker, city police officer, project manager for a real estate developer and state Licensed Private Investigator. Investigated over 50 homicides. Chief defense Investigator in two mass murder cases. World traveler. Visiting all seven continents, more than 110 countries and two around the world trips with his best friend and wife of 67 years, Geraldine.


After retiring, Archie felt compelled to write 6 Detective/Spy novels (Doc Kelly) and share the stories that he had been involved in, where he had personal knowledge, with a little exaggeration thrown in for fun.


Archie received his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice with honors. The last 10 years he and Geraldine made their home in Elk Grove. Being a Mason and a Shriner was an important part of Archie's life. He also enjoyed traveling to different states watching and sponsoring his son, Richard, ProMod race car.

Archie is survived by his daughters, Denise and Marilyn (Ron); and son , Richard (Irina); nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Jeri) Gore and daughter, Patricia (Patti) Gore.

A celebration of life will be held at the Antioch-Brentwood Masonic Lodge, 521 W. 2nd St. Antioch, CA. on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, at 11am.
All are welcome to join us. Charitable contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
