Arnette A. Coleman was born to the late Leon and Merry Coleman on January 5, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the youngest of five. They later settled in Pittsburg, California.
Arnette completed his education at Pittsburg High School. Soon after, he had his first born, Antoinette Coleman. He became a construction worker with the Local Labor Union from which he retired after 35 years. Within that time he married Virginia A. Bush, and that union bore one son, Darren Coleman and step-son, Thaddius Bush.
In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, listening to blues and spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends.
Arnette was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Virginia A. Coleman; a son, Jeffrey Coleman and brother, Karl Coleman.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his daughter Antoinette Coleman Ratliff; son, Darren Coleman and Thaddius Bush; brothers, Garnett, Lee, Kermit and Kenneth Coleman; sister Linda Coleman; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
