Barbara Munoz Lujan, resident of Pittsburg, CA, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 31 ^st after a four-year battle with cancer.

Barbara had a big, beautifully dimpled smile, which she greeted everyone she came in contact with.  She loved her family deeply, she loved all of her friends and she loved life.  Barbara enjoyed celebrating the holidays with family, especially Halloween and Thanksgiving. Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

After working for over 30 years in the Human Resources Department for waste disposal service companies, Barbara retired from Recology San Francisco in 2018.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Jose Lujan; daughter, Melissa Palmer of Pleasant Hill, son; Kristopher Palmer of Pleasant Hill and her 9-month-old grandson, Jebidiah.  She is also survived by her sister Martha Alvidrez of Pittsburg, her sister Victoria Olan of Minnetonka, MN, and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Lucy Munoz, and her sisters Rosemarie Hurtado and Kathy Lozano.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service at 12:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. No reception to follow
