Bayardo Jose Estrada passed away at Kaiser Hospital in South San Francisco Sept. 5, 2021. He was 83.

Bayardo was born on Dec. 5, 1937 in Nicaragua to Emilio Estrada and Gregoria (Gutierrez) Estrada. Bayardo met his future wife Maria in Nicaragua. He followed Maria to the United States where they married in San Francisco in 1963.

The couple had six children: Roger, Irene, Silvio, Marlene, Tito, and Michael and raised them in San Francisco and for a short period, in Pacifica, California. The family lived briefly in Nicaragua, returning to the U.S. in 1976.

Bayardo is preceded in death recently by his beloved wife Maria, who passed away in September of 2018.

Bayardo is survived by his six children. He is also survived by his niece Nola. Bayardo leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held September 17, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of the World Church in Bay Point, CA. A committal service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch, CA.
