Beatrice Edith Daley passed away on Saturday, June 9 at the age of 95. Born to Joseph Jr., and Marie Regina (Chouinard) Germain in Escanaba, Michigan.
Beatrice was a devoted Roman Catholic, long time parishioner of St. Peter Martyr and Church of the Good Shepard. She graduated from Marquette Beauty School and was a self-employed Beautician for over 30 years, real estate investor, and hospital volunteer. In her younger years, Beatrice was adventurous and physically active. She played badminton, enjoyed bowling, was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII in Detroit, MI and moved to California in 1951. She was a resident of Contra Costa County for over 60 years and enjoyed traveling, pinochle, crocheting, and painting.
Beatrice was a self-determined woman who through her unwavering faith, persevered through a crippling accident in 1958 and breast cancer later in her 80s. The life she led and the love she held for her family and God are an inspiration to all whom she has left behind. We love you always and forever, mom, grandma, aunt, Bea. You will be dearly missed. Be at peace.
Beatrice is survived by daughters, Mona M Lange (Holster) of Rio Vista, CA and Ranee A Wilson (Holster) of Mansfield, TX, 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved parents and 9 siblings, Edward J, Frederick J, William, Irene M (Tourangeau), Herman, Elsie M (Clearmont), Hector A, Myrtle M. (Charles), David C. First husband Roy P. Holster, twin daughters, Veronica and Constance Holster, son Keith A. Holster, granddaughter Shandria I Holster and husband Clinton E Daley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00am with a chapel blessing at 11:00am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
