Beatrice Mae Smith was born on April 5, 1923 in Mt. Hermon, Louisiana to the proud parents of Floyd and Leola Smith, who both preceded her in death. She was raised by A B Brock, her grandmother, and attended the community school in Mount Hermon where she received her early education.
As a youth, teenager and young adult she stayed and traveled with her grandmother, throughout the states of Louisiana, Florida and Texas.

At the age of 27, she met Elton C. Williams. They married in Houston, Texas. They started their journey as husband and wife in Bogalusa, Louisiana. The Lord blessed their union with 9 children: Floyd Marie (Elder James Gilmore), Maxine Deloris, Alter Mae Elaine, Charles Levon (Shelia), Gussie Mae, Robert Lee and James Earl, Earline and Katrina who preceded her in death.

Beatrice, called by most everyone Bee, attended the Baptist denomination with her grandmother until she was married. At the age of 34, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. She placed her membership with The First Church Of God In Christ in Bogalusa, Louisiana under the pastoral care of Elder Howard Quillen. Her membership continued there until her move with her family in 1968 to San Francisco, California. Upon arriving in San Francisco, she placed her membership with True Hope Church Of God In Christ, shepherded by Pastor Arelious Walker.

She moved to Pittsburg, CA, in the early nineties and joined Langston Memorial Church Of God In Christ where she served as Church Mother.

She has given Christian advice and opened her home to many, many people who have pasted their time in her presence. She spoke her mind at times, laughed, cried and said the funniest things out of the blue. She was and will always be "Mom".

She leaves to cherish her life in memory her children, grandchildren, Donald (Olivia), Kerry (Janell), Pauline, Alec, Jermaine, Robert Jr., Patrice, Michael, Shanna, Crystal, DeAnna, Marcus, Laticia, Adrianna, Christopher, Mercedes, John, Joey, Sharmoni, Mister, Rudolph Jr. and a host of great- grandchildren, cousins, relatives and friends.
