Benjamin Rosalez was born on July 13, 1926 in Casper, Wyoming to Candelario and Delores Rosalez. He has an honorary degree from Pittsburg High School and served in the Army during World War II earning the Bronze Star Medal. He was employed by the United States Steel Mill for forty-four years. Ben was married to Ophelia Rosalez. The couple had two children--Cynthia and Edward. Later divorced, Ben married Eloise Rosalez-- mother to Larry and Rick.
Ben's interests included camping, water sports, and family gatherings. His charm and penchant for storytelling brought life everywhere he went. A true adventurer, he enjoyed traveling with family all over the United States.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents Candelario and Delores Rosalez; his siblings Candelario Rosalez, Jr., Henry Rosalez, Jessie Perea, Hope Garcia, and Juanita (Jenny) Perez; Larry (Lynn) Enriquez.
Ben is survived by his daughter Cynthia (John) Young, his son Edward Rosalez, step-son Rick (Cathy) Enriquez; his grandchildren Marcus (Hilary) Flanary, Matt (Sandy) Rosalez, Nick (Melanie) Rosalez, Shirlene Holton, Levi Enriquez, Ryan (Barbara) Enriquez, Justin Enriquez, Elesha (Marcos) Jimenez, Mike (Lisa) Enriquez, Dustin (Jessica) Lopez, Jake Huff, Eric Enriquez, Richard Enriquez; his great-grandchildren Owen Flanary, Laila Rosalez, Carlos Robles Jr., Samantha Holton, Nicholas Enriquez, Enoch Enriquez, Tamrin Enriquez, Cali Enriquez, Lacy Enriquez, Ryan Enriquez Jr., Kinsley Enriquez, Neva Lopez, Nora Lopez, Davis Lopez, Grace Jimenez, Harper Huff.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a rosary at 4pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Chapel blessing on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 12:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
