Obituary

Benjamin Embate Salera, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022, at Kaiser Hospital at the age of 71. He was born on June 10, 1950, in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, a son of the late Dionisio and Anatalya Embate Salera.

He is survived by his wife Elsie Daanoy Salera, his children Glenn Charles Daanoy Salera, Jessie Lewis Daanoy Salera, Gretchie Love Daanoy Salera, daughter in Law Andreea Maria Rotaru Salera, and grandkids Jason Anthony Rotaru Salera and Jessica Maria Rotaru Salera.

Benjamin came to the United States of America, in order to give his children a better life. This was a hard thing for him because no parent can let go of their children; however, he endured it, in order to ensure a better future.

Benjamin loved to play golf, and he loved music, especially singing and playing guitar. He was a good role model of his children and grandchildren with so much inspiration.

He was such a positive man, he was making plans up till the end. He was a good father who would always show concerns to his family and took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving father and grandfather to many.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy will be held at St. John Vianney Church 650 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
