Bennie Cardinale passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Folsom Ca. Bennie was a quiet and introspective man who was deeply loved by his family. Bennie was born in Pittsburg, California and lived there for 87 years. He worked for the City of Pittsburg for over 25 years. He worked in a few departments
such as Public Works and Engineering. All the while moving up to his last position with the City as Assistant Director Of Public Service. He enjoyed his job as Assistant Director because it allowed him to monitor all the workings of the city that he loved. He also spent his summer vacations commercial
fishing in Alaska. He retired
from the City in 1981, then worked part time for a couple of years as a city inspector.
Bennie is survived by his loving wife, Betty; (57 years), children Josephine(Russ Olney) of Brentwood, Rocco(Judy) of El Dorado Hills, Mark( Joan)of Half Moon Bay, and Philomena(Lambert Crone) of Folsom and grandchildren,
Alexandra Olney of San Francisco, Dominic Cardinale, Arizona State, Gianni and Carlo Cardinale, Half Moon Bay and Annamaria and Ava Crone of Folsom. He is also survived by his loving sister, Grace Aiello of San Jose and many loving sister in laws, brothers in laws, nieces and nephews. Bennie was preceded
in death, by his parents,
Rocco and Josephine Cardinale and brothers Sal and Frank Cardinale. Bennie will always be remembered for his dreams of higher education
and his love for history
and genealogy. Friends and Family are invited
