Obituary

Bethel (Beth), age 79, peacefully passed away on August 10, 2021, from complications due to multiple strokes, while in hospice care in Pleasant Hill, CA. Beth was born in Hanford, CA on October 10, 1941 to Ollie and Blanche Price. Beth was the third of six children. The family moved around for work, before finally settling in Contra Costa County in 1960. Beth worked for Contra Costa County for a few years, before working for Xerox Corporation, primarily in San Francisco. Beth retired in 2002 after working over 25 years at Xerox. Beth was a longtime resident of Bay Point, CA and loved to watch Blue Bloods, NCIS, Jeopardy, Forensic Files, and westerns. In her early years, Beth loved watching the Blue Angels fly over San Francisco during Fleet Week, which was around the time of her birthday. Beth loved to go fast! From driving fast in a car, water skiing, to co-piloting (student) a small plane.

Beth also liked to travel when she could.  Her favorite place was Yosemite. She also took a cruise with her friends to Alaska; traveled to Mexico, Italy, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Orleans for Mardi Gras, a couple of times. She also traveled to other states. Beth was a smart, strong, feisty, and independent woman. She was a do-it-yourself-er; and taught herself to fix things using her hammer, screwdriver, or whatever was in her toolbox or shed.

It was hard to see this strong woman deteriorate physically, but her mind was still at work. She can now rest in our Lord's arms.

Beth is preceded in death by: Les J. Diaz (son), Rondie G. Price (brother), Timothy A. Price Sr. (brother), Ivy Green (great-granddaughter), Janice S. (Price) Duran (sister), Dudley Price (brother), Ollie and Blanche (Blackwell) Price (parents) and, Kota-her fur baby (Catahoula dog).

Beth leaves behind: 1 brother: Gary R. Price (Glenda), 2 daughters: Trina (Tomas) Torres & Deja (Bustos) Barnhart (Donnie) 13 Grandchildren: (Trina's kids): Megan, Dominic, and Marisa (Antonio)

(Deja's kids):  Robbie (Amber), Dawn, Heather, Brittney, and Shaun

(Les' kids): Brandon, Amber, Jasmine, Ebonique (Kariem), and Ayla. 18 Great-grandchildren-she met eight. 7 nieces and nephews and numerous grand-nieces and nephews

Beth will be missed by her family and friends. She is now in heaven with other family members, waiting for us.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 10:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
