Obituary

Blesila Cemanes Cebuano, 69, of Antioch, CA passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, with her loving family by her side. Bles was born in Taft, Eastern Samar, Philippines on January 22, 1951 to the late Asisclo and Rufina Cemanes. The fifth of 7 children.

Bles received her Bachelors Degree in Business from Manuel L. Quezon University. She worked as a Real Estate Agent, a store owner where she sold jewelry, Capodimonte porcelain,  Barong Tagalogs, even airline tickets to the Philippines. In 2003 she became a Para Educator for students at Central Junior High School and later for Pittsburg High School. Bles was deeply rooted in Pittsburg, she belonged to the parish of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, sang for the church choir, she was the president of the Filipino Catholic Society from 2009- 2012 and then served as the Vice President from 2018 to present. She enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking, eating, she loved traveling home to the Philippines to see her sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, she devoted her life to God praying and going to church.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years Exequiel Cebuano, her children; Valentin Cebuano of Antioch, CA, Zandra Cebuano Oda of Daly City, CA, Derik Cebuano of Reno, NV, Grandchildren; Deniro, Amelliana, Derik Jr., Jaccob, Patrick and Lynnea, her siblings; Alberto Acquiatan of Colorado, Jovita Ceblano of Taft, Eastern Samar, Philippines, Angeles Manguiob of Pasig, Philippines, Rosa Patteson of Antioch, CA and Maria Cemanes of Bakersfield, CA and all her beloved cousins, nieces and nephews here in the U.S. and in the Philippines.
