Donald "Buddy" Rognlien passed away peacefully on January 16, 2017 at the age of 77. Buddy is survived by five children, Marjori, Gina, Guy, Cristi and Tricia; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Marilyne Polcher and Tim Rognlien; nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives; and long-time companion, Alice Kamers. He is preceded in death by his parents Mick and Marge; brother Jack; and sister Bonnie Hernandez.

Buddy was born in Bemidji, MN and was a long time resident of the area. He spent many years as a machinist in the aerospace industry and as a restaurant entrepreneur and cook later in life. Buddy enjoyed sports, deer hunting, playing guitar, gardening and socializing with his friends. He was well-known for being creative, funny and brilliant with homemade recipes such as the "Buddy Burger" which has been enjoyed by many over the years.
