Carol was born on June 7, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Virgil and Minnie Rogers. She moved to California as a teen. She married Leonard A. Partain (deceased) and they raised their five children in Pittsburg. They were married for 43 years until Leonard's passing in 1990. She was a Pittsburg resident for over 60 years and was a devoted member of the Pittsburg Baptist Church. She was also an avid quilter and made many award winning quilts. She was a member of the Guild of Quilters of Contra Costa County. She was a school bus driver for special needs children and retired from the Antioch School District after 20 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Frances and her brother Wesley. She is survived by a sister, Doris Louise Tucker, brother Virgil Rogers, sons: Michael (Jeanie), Steven, Douglas, and Terry (Marianne) Partain, and daughter, Cathy Partain. Grandchildren: Tim (Shawna) Partain, Lori (Juan) Moreno and Chloe and Camille Partain. Great grandchildren Alexis, Miranda and Gabriella Moreno and Mason and Cole Partain, as well as one great great grandchild, Ava Riedel. Her loving and loyal spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral services Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00am at the Pittsburg Baptist Church, Bay Point. Burial following at Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette. Donations in Carol's memory may be sent to the Lions Blind Center, 175 Alvarado Ave., Pittsburg, Ca 94565.
