Cecilla was the middle child of three children, born on July 15, 1974. She was very loving of her siblings and parents, and she was a good wife and mother to her husband and her children. When it comes to being a friend, you could always count on her. She was a very joyful and a very supportive person. Cecille loved to go out and party with her friends, as well as attending birthday celebrations and gatherings. She loved to go on vacations with her family, who was always traveling with her husband and kids.

She began her teaching career as a Mathematics teacher in the Philippines and continued here in the U.S. at the Oakland Unified School District, in 2001. In 2003, she moved to Pittsburg, and transferred to Pittsburg High School where she worked there for a period of time. After working as a teacher, she became a mathematics coach, where she mentored math teachers at Pittsburg Unified School District. Lastly, she became Vice Principal of Marina Vista Elementary School. This admin position has always been her dream, as she knew that she could further help students and teachers.

Ever since she was in high school, Cecille has enjoyed playing the flute, playing for the band, and many other occasions in the Philippines, up until she was in college. She shared her talent of the flute here in our local church. When she was diagnosed with stage 2B breast cancer in 2013, she decided to stop playing flute, as she wanted to focus on her health condition. She gave her all, and stayed strong for her family, friends, and community. However, we all know that God knows best, and she is now in a better place. Cecille always wanted to be remembered as a happy, loving, and cheerful person.
