Charles T. Clark Jr was born on May 27, 1971, in Pittsburg, California, the son of Beverly Stovall and Charles Clark Senior, and father to his two children, Tallyn Clark and Charles Clark III, and three loving fur-babies. He lived fifty-one glorious years on this Earth before drawing his
last breath on January 23, 2023, in the San Francisco VA Hospital.
Charles had vigor and a thirst for adventure. He served eighteen years in the Army as a Sergeant, risking his life in some of the most war torn countries, though still found richness in every culture he called home overseas. His passion extended to the martial arts where he trained religiously in Gung Fu, earning two black sashes and a kick-butt attitude. Eventually, he fulfilled a life-long dream and became a Clark County police officer in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a decade working in corrections and security.
Charles had a strong will, even to his final breath. He had far from an easy life, though always took time to laugh, especially while reminiscing about a childhood escapade or while watching Dave Chapelle, one of his favorite comedians. He found happiness in the small details and spent his time joy riding his motorcycle on bright days, Salsa dancing, playing bass guitar, reading Sci-Fi novels, shooting, pursuing pretty women, and above all playing MOBA video games.
Charles had an authority, confidence and intelligence that would put most to shame. He believed that knowledge was power and studied history and religion earnestly and would always enthusiastically offer a thorough explanation about any subject he was asked. He could occupy any space and effortlessly orient all involved; many dearly relied upon this quality and his insightfulness in their lives, including his children and beloved niece, Monique Clark.
Above all, he had finally found love. His longing for a partner took him to the Philippines where he met Maria, the only woman who was able to soften his defenses and love him wholeheartedly. Their time together was short but offered a lifetime's worth of fulfillment and resolve. He leaves her behind with a heavy heart, though hope for another love just as beautiful. His legacy and love live on in all he has touched! We are forever grateful for the man who was Charles T. Clark Jr.
