Clem Bushman, was born to Henry and Theresa (Gruentzel) Bushman in Appleton, WI on March 7, 1933. He and his sister Katherine were the 2 remaining siblings of a family of 11 children.
General Chemical was lucky to have him as a hard worker for more than 30 years. He was also a union steward for Chemical Workers of America. In his retirement, Clem worked part-time first at Long's Drugs store in Antioch and then CVS in Pittsburg. Clem belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was a Fourth Degree Knight. His love for cooking enriched the Special Events at his church and impacted the lives of many others.
Clem is a cherished father of Mary Gunderson of Albuquerque, NM and Christopher Bushman of St Louis, MO. He was a treasured father-in-law to Byron Gunderson and loving grandfather to Jennifer Gunderson-Martinez and her husband Martin, and Vincent and Danielle Bushman. He was a great-grandfather to Micah, Isaac, and Anthony Martinez of Albuquerque and Randy Heath, Jr., of Harpswell, ME. He is survived by his sister Katherine Johnson of British Columbia. Clem was preceded in death by his wife Amalia (Molly) Bushman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 5:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm. Funeral liturgy Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:30am all at St. Ignatius of Antioch 3351 Contra Loma Blvd., in Antioch.
