After a long and courageous battle Vince passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Vince was born in Martinez, CA to Julia (Romeo) and Clinton Burns, Vince attended Pacifica High School in West Pittsburg CA, graduating in 1965.  Following high school, he was drafted to the Army where he served in Vietnam as an infantry medic with the 25th Infantry Division.

Upon his return from Vietnam, Vince met and married the love of his life Marilyn (Wilcockson) at St. Catherine's Church in 1969. Six years later they had a son, Matthew, whom they lovingly raised in Pittsburg. Vince worked at Safeway for 35 years as a butcher and meat department manager, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed water skiing and outdoor activities for many years.  He was always a kind and caring person and willing to help those in need.

Vince is survived by his wife Marilyn, son Matthew, daughter-in-law Monica, grandchildren Abigail and Emma, sister Kathy (Charles) Partin, brothers, Andrew, Joe (Sherri), Johnny (Tammy) and numerous nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends. He loved his family dearly and will be missed sorely by them. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Julia & Clinton Burns along with several beloved family members.

Memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 11:00am at Church of the Good Shepherd 3200 Harbor Street, Pittsburg, Ca 94565.
