Conchita passed away peacefully with the angels and her family by her side in Pittsburg, CA, after a long illness. Previously she lived in Rocklin, CA, for two years with her son & daughter-in-law, and was a resident of Pittsburg for over 60 years. She touched many lives with her gentle, patient and generous spirit. She was an angel herself. Conchita was a loving wife preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Narez. They shared 62 years of marriage.

Conchita was born in Santa Ana, CA. She graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1948 and was Queen of her church "Our Lady of Mount Carmel". She worked as a Teacher's Aide in Pittsburg for many years and was a wonderful home-maker.

She enjoyed traveling, dancing, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family. She traveled to many places around the world.

Conchita is lovingly survived by her children, Cynthia Hernandez (Robert-deceased), Steve Narez (Cynthia) and Kathleen Blessing (Robert) and grandchildren Natalie Hernandez, Lauren & Duane Burkitt, Mason Narez, Matthew Narez & Marisa Crawford, Ryan & Anthony Blessing and great grandson Jaden Burkitt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. She is also survived by her sisters Edna Montoya, Anna Mae Rhodes, Mary Ann Jaime and brother Abelardo Melgoza. Preceding her in death are her husband Ralph, father & mother, Gildardo & Rutilia Melgoza and brothers Tirzo, Richard & Arthur Melgoza.

Conchita blessed the lives of all those she came in contact with. She was a cherished mother and grandmother who flourished in both roles. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and faith. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew & loved her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 4pm with a rosary at 7pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 10am at Church of the Good Shepherd in Pittsburg. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch.
