With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved figure in our family and community, Cora Nazareta Love, aka "Mumsie", who left us peacefully at the age of 78 on January 9, 2024.

Born in the Philippines on June 28, 1945, to Blas Nielo and Carmen Santos Nazareta, Mumsie emigrated to the United States at the tender age of eight. Her life was a testament to the American dream, marked by her tireless work ethic, boundless compassion, and the ability to find happiness in each day. A beacon of love and warmth, she touched the lives of everyone she met with her infinite kindness, gentle spirit, and warm heart.

Mumsie was indeed the life of every gathering. Her laughter was contagious, her stories captivating, and her beauty a sight to behold. She created a home where the door was always open, the food was plentiful, and the music was never too loud.

She met life's challenges with unwavering strength, inspiring us to balance our roles with grace as she did. She dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her community and found joy in the simplest pleasures: watching football (especially her favorite team, the Niners), doing Sudoku puzzles on her tablet, playing Solitaire and Mahjong, crocheting, gardening, buying the latest must-have gadgets on QVC, collecting every makeup and beauty tool imaginable, hitching rides to the casino, and cooking delicious meals for those she loved. Her lumpia, special spaghetti, and seashell soup recipes and the memories of all our vivacious family gatherings will be cherished and passed down for generations.

She was a pillar of unconditional love, always putting others—especially her grandchildren—before herself and encouraging everyone to practice loving one another, wholly and fully. Her grace, humor, and selflessness brought comfort and laughter to our lives.

Mumsie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Adam Sr. She is survived by her children: Adam Jr. (Monika), Edie, and Yvette; her grandchildren: Andrea, Dominique (Charlie), Darryl, Ruben (Sandy), Geno, Alexa, Tyler (Krystal), Alexander (Amber), Dylan (Stephanie), Adam (Christy), Presley and Genevieve; great-grandchildren Valerie, Zoe, Ethan, Noah, Andrew, Apollo, and Phoenix; siblings Napoleon (Lourdes), Alice, and Darlene(Willy); and her extended family and friends.

We will gather to honor her memory on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 9:30am to 11:30am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy following at Queen of All Saints at 12:30pm.

Mumsie's legacy is not just in the love she gave or the joy she spread, but also in the courage she instilled in all of us. We will miss her more than words can express. She may have left the party of this life, but her spirit will dance in our hearts forever.
