Danielle Leigh Wharton was born on January 29, 1975, in Concord, California, and lived in Pittsburg, California. She passed away on September 9, 2025. She is survived by her mother, Patricia, and her sister, Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael.

Danielle devoted 28 years to serving the community through her work with Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services. Over the decades she spent there, she found her calling as a trainer, where her patience, humor, and deep knowledge left a lasting impression on countless colleagues and students. Danielle's commitment and contributions will not be forgotten. She loved fiercely and stood up for what she believed was right. To Danielle, every dog was a friend and every friend was family.
