Danilo "Danny" G. Francisco—loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle—passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 22, 2023, at the age of 73 in Antioch, California.

Danny was born on January 15, 1950, to the late Casimiro and Christina Francisco in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines. As the third child of 17 children, Danny was a natural fighter and protector of his family—never hesitating to defend his siblings and family. He would do anything to help his family if they were in need–he was a giving, caring, and helpful soul. Danny's natural fight instinct and love for his family was clearly evident in his final days—fighting to ensure that no matter how bad he felt physically, he would not let anything stop him from being with his family.

Growing up, Danny was a hard worker, resilient in the face of adversity, and learned to be resourceful—as anyone with 16 siblings might tend to be. He taught himself how to take motorcycle scraps and pieces and turn them into working motorcycles, which he would then keep or sell. And this was the genesis of his life's passion—building or fixing anything and everything.

While still in the Philippines, Danny had three children with his then partner, Margarita Villano. He immigrated to the United States in 1976 and worked as an electronic technician for his entire 30 plus years in the workforce. He worked for Sony then later, US Audio, doing what he loved to do and was very good at: fixing things.

On December 3, 1977, Danny married Brenda de Manuel and they lived happily, had a daughter, and raised a family in Pittsburg, California. When Danny retired, he and Brenda put their hard-earned money to work and fulfilled their dream to build a beach home in Aklan, Philippines where they were able to enjoy several years together until Brenda passed away in 2010.

Danny is survived by his adoring family: his children—Ulysses Francisco (Eileen), Luisa Hilton (Richard), Darius Francisco, and Danette Shipe (James); his grandchildren—Elysse Francisco, Elyza Francisco, Matthew Hilton, Jason Hilton, Andrew Hilton, Matteo Shipe and Vittoria Shipe; and his 11 siblings as well as his many nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.

• Wednesday, February 1, 2023: Visitation 2pm - 6pm, Rosary 4pm; Pittsburg Funeral Chapel, 2295 Railroad Ave., Pittsburg, Ca.
• Thursday, February 2, 2023: Funeral Mass 11am, Church of the Good Shepherd, 3200 Harbor St., Pittsburg, Ca. Followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2200 E. 18th Street, Antioch, Ca.
