Obituary

David Cacciaroni, age 72, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Antioch surrounded by his family. Born in 1942, to Frank and Lucy Cacciaroni and was raised in Pittsburg.
After graduating from Pittsburg High School in 1960, he served in the U.S. National Guard and then joined the U.S. Air Force. While serving in the Air Force, he married Patricia Cappucini and started a family. After successfully completing his service in the Air Force, he began working at the Shell Oil Refinery in Martinez – where he spent his entire career.
David will be best remembered as the hard working leader and provider for his family. He had a passion for carrying on his long family tradition of fishing, he loved barbecuing, and took pride in being a Do-It-Yourselfer. He was very proud of his Italian-American heritage and was happiest when he was spending time with his family.
Friends often looked to him for his expertise and leadership; Family looked to him for his unconditional love and support. He will be greatly missed.
David is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his children Joyce Henkel, Janis Falk and her husband Pat, sons David Cacciaroni, and son Steven Cacciaroni and his wife Beth, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, sister Prudy Riso and her husband Vince, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lucy, his sister Annette Chandler.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10:00am at Most Holy Rosary Church, Antioch. Committal services following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
