David Eleidjian was born February 25, 1987 in Armenia. He lived in Armenia until the age of 4, when, with his mom, Ana and big brother George, he moved to America. David, being quite the adventure seeker, got himself lost upon arrival at LAX. He was quickly found, happily experiencing the joys of the airport elevator. They settled in Southern California where David was known for his playful spirit; an energy that always kept
George and their mother hopping. When David was 13, his family moved to Lafayette, in Northern California. This is truly where David shifted from being a little kid, to living the life of a teenager. David attended middle school, and enjoyed attending youth church activities with friends from school. David got his first job at Waterworld USA, and for those who knew
him then, you will likely recall his close, personal attachment to his CPR gear… always prepared to save the world at a moments notice! In 2001, David's family grew in leaps-and-bounds as they relocated to Bay Point, California. His mother met, who would become David's step-dad, Victor. During the same time, his brother met and married Beckie, giving David four BEAUTIFUL new sisters. Every occasion from there forward became a huge production of two beautifully merged families…who truly became ONE! David became the epitome of the Best Uncle in 2003 when Alex was born… and he took his role of Uncle VERY seriously, even referring to "Nephew Alex" to Alex's "Uncle David." These two shared a similar level of silliness and playfulness that was not only contagious, but also quirky and unique. They would continue as the best of friends, enjoying sports and video games together. David graduated in 2005 from Mt. Diablo High School. Throughout his high school years, David became very interested in the military by joining the JROTC program. This experience spurred his deep desire to join the United States Marine Corps; a desire that he excitedly pursued shortly after graduation. While in the Marine Corps, David took on his role as one among the brotherhood, and truly stepped into the value behind Semper Fi! From April to November 2007 he served with the Bravo Company in Iraq, as an Amphibious Assault Vehicle Technician, a soldier in Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his time spent in the Marine Corps, he was awarded numerous medals, accommodations, badges, and
awards. Upon return to the United States, he continued his service based out of Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California. While living in San Diego, David was blessed with the arrival of the true light of his life, his daughter Elizabeth Renee in 2010. When Elizabeth was a mere 2 weeks old, David could no longer contain his excitement and made the 8-hour drive to Northern California to show her off. It was obvious to everyone, the love he had for her, and the excitement he had in building his own little family! As if the addition of a new daughter wasn't enough excitement, a short 7 months later, a niece: Maddelynn Lee joined the family, continuing his loving legacy as a Super Uncle! In 2011, David moved back to Northern California to be closer to his family. He attended DeVry University, majoring in Criminal Justice where he was a very devoted student! It was around this time that he said he felt things were finally moving in the direction he wanted toward building his future. He had a lot of future goals that he meticulously worked toward and planned for. He was always busy dreaming of his next venture, and working out all the minute details of every step of every process. David always enjoyed following the footsteps of others, and shortly after his parents opened a restaurant, David began to share a deep desire to open a restaurant of his own, and was known to have planned out everything down to the napkins
and lighting fixtures. It was also during this time that David met his beautiful girlfriend Ayah. In typical David fashion, showing no shyness at all, David proudly introduced himself to her at the bank teller window and asked for her number. After several chance meetings, and no letting up on David's part, Ayah accepted. Over their 18 month long courtship, David and Ayah shared a love of food, wine and travel. They shared time together on trips to New York, Miami, Lake Tahoe, and Hawaii. David was truly enjoying the happiest time of his life. Although he lived such a short life on this earth, he truly lived each and every one of those 26 years. As David's friends and family, we all know that David would never want us to be sad or tearful; he would want our laughter, our memories, and our friendships to bring us together during this time in a true celebration of his rich and full life. He will forever be missed, and loved… but never forgotten, and always thought of with that contagious smile and loving sense of humor!
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00am with funeral services at 12:00noon at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
