Debbie Childs Belter was born to Jack and Mary Childs on July 21, 1952 in Pittsburg, CA. On February 12th, Debbie passed away peacefully at home, in the company of her loving son, after a courageous battle against cancer. Debbie leaves behind her son Adam, her sister Pattie Rivera and brother-in-law Ralph; Niece Jacqui Gonzalez (Jorge); Nephew Ray Jennings; great nieces and nephews Angelica, Tiana, Nicolas and Angelo. Debbie is preceded in death by her husband Dan of 42 years, who passed away in 2015 and her brother David Childs and parents Jack and Mary Childs. Debbie retired from Mervyns in Antioch, after 30+ years of dedicated service. Debbie will be lovingly remembered for her untiring involvement in her son's sports and school activities. Debbie's passions included travelling photography, theater, crafting, quilting and shopping. Debbie will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, and auntie, and a loyal friend who will be sincerely missed.
Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held immediately following services.
