Delia Diaz Briseño was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully at home with family on January 6, 2026 in Antioch, CA at the age of 76. Born June 8, 1949 in Antenguillo, Jalisco Mexico, to Encarnacion Diaz and Antonio Duenas. Delia's life was rooted in family, love and faith. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and embodied it through kindness, passion and love of those around her. Delia found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family and friends, cherishing every moment and memory spent together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Encarnación Díaz and Antonio Dueñas, her sisters; Maria de Rosario Díaz, Francisca Dueñas, and her beloved son, Richard Piña. Delia is survived by her son; Anthony Piña, her grandchildren; Ivy Gruessing, Felicia Hill, and Gabriel Piña, and her great-grandchildren; Jerome Hill III and Zamia Hill. She is also survived by her siblings; Margarita Díaz, Ruben Dueñas, Lorenzo Dueñas, Ben Dueñas, Rafaela Dueñas, Maria Dueñas, Adela Dueñas, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, god children and in-laws.

Delia began her journey from Mexico to the United States in 1962 at the age of 13, first staying in San Diego later settling north in Pittsburg, California where she made her home and raised her family.

Delia will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her devotion to her family was shared through her laughter, wisdom, and gentle spirit. She will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Following the service, Delia will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch, California.
