Obituary

Our dearest Delia "Lelet" Nasol lived a long and happy life.  Her youthful and loving spirit will always be remembered, and her smile was a source of joy and laughter to all who knew her.

Delia was born on May 30, 1954 in Manila, Philippines to Tomas and Elpidia Nasol.  The fourth of seven siblings, she was raised in Tondo, Manila.  In 1988, she, with her sister, Amelia, and brother, Obet, relocated to the United States, finally settling with in Pittsburg, California with Amelia and her family.

Although young in mind, Lelet was always spirited and loving, with a generous heart.  She had a love for animals, especially dogs—Skippy, Shaggy and Happy were her own beloved dogs over the years.  She loved listening to music and collecting radios.  Whenever one would visit their home, you would hear her radio blasting even from the street.

A devoted member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, she created memorable friendships and was excited to meet happy faces at all the activities.

On October 15, 2019, she quietly passed in her sleep.  Survived by five siblings, Erlinda Alejandro, Lourdes Habac, Clarita Nasol, Dolores Arthurs and Amelia Broas, who was her main caretaker since youth.

Although sudden and unexpected, our family takes joy in knowing she was not suffering or in pain at the end of her life, but instead enjoyed an evening with Amelia, watching her Filipino dramas.

We will truly miss Lelet but will never forget her smile and joyful presence.
