Our Dee Dee passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She fought a long hard battle for the last six years with lung cancer.
By profession she was a registered nurse and spent 30 years at Sutter Delta Medical Center. Prior to this, she worked 8 years at UC Medical Center, San Francisco in the ICU. At Sutter Delta, she was loved by both her coworkers and her patients.
Dee had a wonderful cheerful personality and brought smiles and laughter to everyone. Dee and her husband, Dick, enjoyed boating for several years. She was crazy enough to take up golf with her husband and for the last 20 years was a golf-aholic. She belonged to three different women's golf groups in the Antioch-Pittsburg area. Her gals at Pittsburg Delta View Golf Cours were her "sisters". Golf and the card game 31 were her Wednesday getaway with them. She had many friends in all three clubs.
She was preceded in death by her father Louis George DeClouet, mother Beatrice Boudreaux DeClouet sister Emily Declouet. She is survived by her Husband of 39 years, sister Bridget Hardeway, nieces Emily Hardeway, Anne Hardeway, stepdaughters Teresa Butler and Debra Fortunato, Mary Butler, and numerous grand children.
Dee and her husband were parishners of Good Shepherd Church for 37 years. Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Saturday, Arpil 6, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Ignatius of Antioch.
