Dominic
Confetti
Jan 2, 1933 — Dec 29, 2021
Pittsburg
Dominic passed away peacefully on December 29th after his huge heart had no more to give. He was a kind, caring, man dedicated to his family, faith and community.
Dominic was proud to be born and raised in Pittsburg where he lived his whole life. After graduating from Pittsburg High School in 1951 he proudly served in the US Navy for four years through the end of the Korean war. Dominic found his profession at DuPont in Antioch where he retired as a Manufacturing Supervisor after an illustrious 40-year career. He was a master craftsman who enjoyed woodworking (he could build anything), was an avid duck hunter who loved spending time with friends and family at his duck club, was a faithful Forty Niner, Giants and PHS Pirate fan, loved watching westerns (he secretly wanted to be a cowboy), loved animals especially his dogs, but most of all loved being with his family and the true love of his life, Francine.
Dominic truly believed in giving back to his community. There are too many acts of service to list, but he was recently honored for serving as a Eucharistic Minister for over 50 years, delivered Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, and was a Lifetime Member of the California Waterfowl Association. He was also a lifelong member of the Elks.
Dominic is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Francine; devoted children Lee Ann Dozier (Mike) of Pittsburg, Steven (Dina) of Antioch, and Kevin (Susan) of Concord and grandchildren Dominic, Masen, Kyle Dozier, Gino, Kayla and Krista. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Simply put, Dominic was one of the nicest, most giving men you'd ever meet and the world is a little worse off without him.
