Donna Rae O'Brien, 82 years of age, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Kaiser Geary Campus in San Francisco.
Donna was born September 22, 1939 in San Jose California to the late Dorothy Dugger and Jesse Williams. She was the second born of four children - having three brothers: Johnny, Larry, and Kurt (Duke) Williams. She graduated from Antioch High School in 1957.
Donna married James (Jim) O'Brien in 1959 in Reno, Nevada and remained happily married for 62 years. They were blessed with 3 sons: Mike (61), Mitch (60), and Darrin (55). She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren (Michael O'Brien, Jamie Moore, Carrie Saucedo, Aiden O'Brien, and Andrew O'Brien), and many great grandchildren, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Donna professed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, living her life in accordance with His guidance and love.
Donna loved her job as a sales associate at Mervyn's in Antioch, CA. She was with Meryn's for approximately 30 years, and worked primarily in the jewelry department.
In Donna's later years she became an avid Genealogist. She researched and discovered blood relatives all the way back to the early 1400's. She was delighted to find that the Duggers were related to famous people in history including: Pocahontas, Daniel Boone, William Shakespeare, and Catherine Parr (the last and only wife of King Henry VIII who did not suffer a beheading on his behalf).
Donna was one of the most genuine and kind people around. She never spoke a bad word about anyone and was quick to forgive. She had the warmest, most endearing smile and a contagious laugh. She will be dearly missed and her memory cherished by those that had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, forgiveness, and charity will be passed on by those of us who were blessed by her beautiful spirit. This legacy will undoubtedly be continued for generations to come.
