Doris Jean Brown Glasper passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in Los Angeles, CA.  She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and positive outlook on life.

Doris was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Pittsburg, CA where she received her education throughout the Pittsburg Unified School District and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1963.

Doris attended Sacramento State University and Cal State Hayward.  Her career took her in various paths, but her unwavering love to serve others always brought her back to her community where she worked in family services and healthcare outreach programs for over 40 years.

Doris is survived by her sons Macio Henry and Larue Curl (of Los Angeles), daughter in-law Judi Henry, and her beloved grandchildren Jordan Henry, Royce Henry, Alyssa Pallen and Tristan Curl.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:30am with a funeral service at 11:30am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Repast/Reception immediately to follow at the Church of the Good Shepherd Parish Hall 3200 Harbor Street, Pittsburg, CA 94565.
