Dorothy D. Malkovich longtime resident of Pittsburg passed away peacefully on Dec. 3, 2017 at the age of 91. Born in Glyndon Minnesota to Harold and Phoebe Miller, Dorothy was the youngest of 3 daughters. She lived on the famiy farm until she left to pursue a B.S. in Public Education. She soon met her husband Sam Malkovich and together moved west to Colorado, Wyoming, and eventually to Pittsburg. She was an Elementary teacher in Pittsburg for 30 years. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and loved to read. She will be missed by sons Michael (Laurna) and Jeffrey (Antoinette) Malkovich, her daughter Sharon (Brian) Spiwak. Grandchildren Shaun, Sumer, Morgan, Simone and Jacky Malkovich. Andy and Warren Spiwak and many Great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters Margaret Brittenham of Washington and Marilyn Belmont of Minnesota and her husband Sam Malkovich.
Visitation and funeral services to be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Graveside service will follow at 12:30pm at the Serbian Cemetery 1801 Hillside Blvd, in Colma. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to local Hospice Organization.
