Dwight Clewis passed away on February 17, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1953 to Gilbert Covey and Lura Jean Clewis in Houston Texas. He moved to California where he attended Lafayette Elementary School, Roosevelt Jr. High School and graduated from Oakland High School in 1971. He also graduated from Life Chiropractic School as a certified massage therapist. He was a long time employee of J's Auto Detail in Concord, California. Then worked for Allied Security Services where he retired from.

Dwight is survived by his siblings Darryl Clewis, Tracei Scott and Stacie Herbert. His stepchildren Leonard Whitley, Carla Williams, and Estelle Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. His dear and favorite nephew Torris Ridgeway III and his dear cousin Alex Birdine. He is preceded in death by his father Gilbert Covey and mother Lura Jean Clewis. His loving wife Trena Whitley and stepdad Johnny Herbert. His legacy will live on thru his most cherished loved ones.
