Edith went home to heaven on December 8, 2015. She was a 63 year resident of Pittsburg. She was a homemaker and raised four children. Edith later worked for In Home Support Services. She loved to decorate and her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She enjoyed baking and watching the cooking channel.
Edith is survived by her children: Dennis, Bill, Cathy and Linda. She had 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Edith is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eric Dean Shipley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:00am both days at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial following at Oak View Memorial Park.
