Edmund J.
Clancy Jr.
Nov 8, 1950 — Aug 6, 2021
Pittsburg
Edmund J. Clancy, Jr. passed August 6, 2021 in Suisun City, CA at the age of 70. Ed was born in Richmond, Virginia to Frances and Edmund Clancy, Sr. At age 15 he was tired of moving and declared that California was his home for life and he was true to his word. He graduated from Concord High School in California. Then, enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a Radar Specialist on a supply ship which made three trips to Singapore. Upon returning, a friend, Bob Murgia, taught him how to lay flooring. Flooring was his profession as a worker and contractor for most of his life with a decade in the middle working in the Home Health Care field as an Executive. His major joy in his life was his friends. He was blessed with the ability of making friends for life, many of which he knew 50+ years. He liked to dress sharp, loved music, and relaxing around water whether while abalone diving; fishing; or simply enjoying its beauty.
Ed was an honorable gentleman with integrity; a smile and helping hand for anyone who needed it. He loved people and was loved in return. He will be missed.
Ed is survived by: his sister, Deb Clancy; he was formerly married twice during his lifetime, 5 years to Nancy Coward, and 27 years of Lori Gravelyn; and 100+ cousins residing primarily in New York, Colorado and Ohio.
