Elmira Mendoza Cuarezma entered into the Lord's Presence June 22, 2022, at 2:19am and her home in Oakley, California, attended by her beloved children, Evelyn Melendez, Joseph Cuarezma and Jacqueline Tyler. Elmira's husband, Luis of 64 years predeceased her along with her beloved son, Luis Antonio Cuarezma.
Elmira was a devoted mother to her 3 surviving children, Jacqueline Tyler (William), Joseph Cuarezma and Evelyn Melendez (Victor). Elmira was blessed with 5 grandchildren, John Tyler (Korie), Steven Tyler, Daniel Tyler (Faith), Jorge Luis Aguilar (Carmen), Elizabeth Aguilar. Great Grandmother to, Sadie Tyler, Ronan Tyler, Leonidas Tyler and Luis Aguilar, not yet born.
Elmira worked as a coffee processor for more than 20 years as well as various other jobs. Elmira was an excellent cook, baker and loved tending to her fruit trees. She and her husband loved their grandchildren immensely. She took great care of her homes, traveled for many years to Nicaragua and to Texas where other family members lived. She loved to watch the old movies and an occasional horror thrilled her. Elmira loved her faithful pet dog, Rancie. She loved her church family and ministered to many people. Elmira was a prayer warrior and read her Bible faithfully before becoming too frail. She was a strong lady and was able to take care of herself until a few months back. Elmira always thought of other people and often helped financially and spiritually. Our entire family has been left with a deep whole in our hearts. She will be missed immensely.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 11:00am with a funeral service at 12:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak View Memorial Park,
2500 E. 18th Street, Antioch, California.
