Elsa Santa Iglesia Tolentino, 75, has passed away last Sunday from a long-term illness. She is a 48-year resident of Pittsburg. Elsa was born in the Philippines. A devout Catholic, she was a long-term parishioner of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Pittsburg. Elsa had enjoyed a 37-year career at Systron & Donner in Concord. She was a former member of The Sons of the Philippines organization.
Elsa is survived by her loving husband, Ruben L. Tolentino, Sr, devoted children Ruben I. Tolentino, Jr of Pittsburg, and Cindy I. Tolentino of Concord and grandchildren, Ruben Tolentino III and Apollo Tolentino of Pittsburg. She is also survived by her sisters, Conchita Agbuya of Union City, Zosima Cheuy of Antioch, Erlinda Mendoza of Fremont and brothers, Alfredo Santa Iglesia of Pleasanton and Ruben Iglesia of San Francisco. Her inspiring and generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 4:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00am at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Committal services to following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
