Emely Wilson was born on June 14, 1933 in Guatemala City, Guatemala, her father George Wilson (US Citizen) who went to reside and work for the Railroad in Guatemala and her mother Maria Salome Figueroa a (Guatemala Citizen). Emely was the youngest sibling of 6 and last one left behind. Had 5 children: Sonia (D), Jorge(D), Ricardo, Mayra & Ingrid; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

Emely has been well known by the family and some close friends by "Chata." Her sister Tita gave her that nickname since she was a little girl. Emely was so close in age with Tita's first children that she grew up with them not as nieces and nephews but as siblings and they use to call her Chata. She has been a Seventh-day Adventistsince she was born. Went to Colegio Adventista El Progreso in Guatemala City. After High school she graduated as a Nurse. She enjoyed her profession and helping others. She liked cooking and crocheting. She used to travel back and forth to visit her sisters here to California


1982 Couple of years after her mother passed away she retired in Guatemala and moved to the United States bringing her two younger daughters and first grandchild and reunite with her two sisters', nieces, and nephews and stayed here until her last days.
