Emily Duarte passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and close friends on May 27th 2021. She was raised in Pittsburg, California where she graduated from Pacifica High School in 1961. She married Gary Duarte, Sr. in 1964. Emily raised her family in Antioch, California. Emily and Gary were married for 56 years.

Emily is survived by her loving husband Gary Duarte Sr., and their 3 children, Sandra Duarte Papini, Carolyn Duarte Rangel, and Gary Duarte Jr. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen, (Manuel) Covarrubias. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers Anita, (Peter) Zendejas, Felix Espinosa, Salvador Espinosa and John Espinosa.She leaves behind her beloved 5 grandchildren whom she adored, Anthony, (Kasey) Segovia, Dominic Papini, Lauren Rangel, Gianna Papini, and Matthew Rangel.

Her dear friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10:00am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
