Emily Lozoya passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24th. Emily was born in Rattan, Oklahoma. She moved to California in 1942, settling in Pittsburg along with her family. She attended Pittsburg High School and was a carhop at the Pirate Drive-In during those years. Emily was a proud employee of the old Pittsburg Community Hospital and later the Dow Chemical Company, from which she retired after many years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Emily was preceded in death by her husband Louis. She is survived by her sisters, Kay DeMaria, Anita Barton and Patsy Jaime, her children Lou (Marci), Vickie (Rob) Davidson and Rudy, her treasured granddaughters Jayme McPherson, Jodie Cia, Lesley Olff and Natalie Lozoya, as well as seven great grandchildren and many extended family members. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. A celebration of her life will he held June 14, 2015. In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice of the East Bay would be appreciated.
