Enriqueta T.
Rodrigo
Oct 19, 1960 — Feb 2, 2021
Pittsburg
Our community sadly lost a pillar on February 2, 2021 when Enriqueta (Tita) Tiongson Rodrigo, a long-time resident of Pittsburg died peacefully at the age of 60.
Tita is survived by her husband Luisito Laureta Rodrigo, her sisters Eliza Tiongson Labiano (husband-Mario) and Emilia Tiongson Banez (husband-Ferdinand) and brother Jose Cesar Tiongson. She is predeceased by her parents.
She was born in Tayug, Pangasinan, Philippines on October 19, 1960 to Teofilo Tiongson and Dorothea Tiongson. She graduated from Tayug Luna Colleges in 1981 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education. She was a pre-school Teacher at Stonebrook Learning Center for 15 years and before that, a High School Teacher at Tayug National School for 22 years.
A warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring classroom teacher, she even stayed after school to make herself available to students, parents and colleagues who needed her guidance. In addition to inspiring students, she was a role model and was selected as Miss Tayug from a beauty pageant in 1982.
She was a devoted wife. She was a member and Secretary of a civic group San Nicolas Pangasinan Association of Northern California (SNPANC). She enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking, baking, gardening and camping. These, among her other favorite interests and pastimes gave pleasant counterpoint and keen satisfaction to her friends and acquaintances. Her legacy will live in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met.
Tita, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
