Estelle Puccio
Coplin
Apr 4, 1989 — Nov 15, 2023
Our beloved Estelle Puccio Coplin succumbed to her battle with cancer on November 15th 2023. Estelle was born and raised in Antioch, California. She graduated from Deer Valley High School in 2007. Estelle was involved in many student activities: cheer, leadership, dances, and acting. Who can forget her role in the high school play as Cha Cha DeGregorio in the play Grease. After high school, she was a perfect fit for the party school California State University, Chico graduating in 2011. The Alpha Phi sorority was where she made many lifelong friends and relationships that were pivotal in supporting her in her fight.
Estelle's next step was to pursue her career and socializing in San Francisco. She was employed as a technical recruiter with many start-ups and well known tech companies from 2012 until her diagnosis in 2022. After a hard day of work, you could find Estelle hanging at her favorite place (Original Joes) as well as anywhere else that there was a social happening.
Estelle met her husband Rob in October 2019 while they were both living and working at tech companies in San Francisco. They were immediately drawn together by their shared love for travel, music, social activities with friends, and their two pups (Penelope and Ringo). Estelle loved celebrating birthdays, dressing up for Halloween with her nieces, and everything in between.
They made a habit of traveling over New Years – their first New Years together was in Sayulita, Mexico and others were spent in Cabo, Maui, and Palm Springs.
Rob and Estelle moved to Sausalito in May 2020 and were married in Palm Springs March 19th 2022. Estelle was diagnosed with cancer in August 2022. After Estelle was diagnosed with cancer, they moved to their current home in Novato, CA.
Despite Estelle's diagnosis their travels and her zest for life never stopped. Trips back to Maui, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, multiple Taylor Swift Shows, weddings, engagement parties, baby showers, Disneyland, & Coachella filled their calendars between her treatments. One of her favorite places to go was Rob's parents' condo in Palm Desert to relax and spend time at their wedding venue. Estelle was always the life of the party and despite all that Estelle had going on in her life she always found time for her friends and was constantly thinking of others.
In Estelle's last month of life she and Rob travelled to Sicily, Palm Springs, and saw their favorite artist Fred Again perform in Los Angeles, and organized the family Halloween dress up as Wizard of Oz.
Estelle shared her cancer journey and fight publicly on social media inspiring thousands across the world. She was even sent a care package from her musical idol - Taylor Swift!
Estelle did not lose her fight with cancer. She will always be remembered for living life the fullest and not letting a single day pass.
Estelle is survived by her husband Rob Coplin, parents Anthony & Norine Puccio, brother Frank, godparents Donald Mayjoffo & Vicki Lucido, Rob's parents Jeff & Holly Coplin, his sister Kelly Romanovsky (Leo), nieces Maddie & Jessie, and the doggies (Penelope and Ringo). Others surviving Estelle are Rob's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rob cared for Estelle 24/7 from the time she was diagnosed until her final breath. They were a true team attacking the disease together. Estelle's friends and support groups also deserve special recognition. Their actions through these trying times helped her immensely. When Estelle became paralyzed just before her birthday and Easter, several friends made the trip to Palm Desert to celebrate and comfort her. Estelle said that the weekend was "Magical".
A visitation will be held on Thursday December 7th 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. A private burial will take place on December 8th 2023. A Celebration of Life will take place in the near future.
